The German University in Cairo, GUC, is a bi-national Egyptian German Private University founded by the
            presidential decree 27/2002, according to the law number 101/1992 and its executive regulations number
            355/1996.
            
    
            German university in Cairo (Deutsche Universität in Kairo) has been established in 2002 in cooperation
            with the State Universities of Ulm and Stuttgart, under the patronage of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher
            Education, the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts, State of Baden- Württemberg, Germany, and
            supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Embassy in Cairo, the Arab/German
            Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany, The
            State University of Tübingen, The State University of Mannheim and the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig.
            
                The German University in Cairo has a vision of building a leading center of excellence in teaching and
                research that will effectively contribute to the general welfare nationally and internationally and
                endeavor the scientific, technical, economic and cultural cooperation between Egypt and Germany.
                
                
                It is today considered Germany’s largest transnational education project worldwide and it is also the
                only integrated German university outside Germany that has 3 Bologna cycles, namely B.Sc., M.Sc. and
                Ph.D offering 71 study programs (31 undergraduate and 40 postgraduate).
        
The German International University, GIU is a German University headquartered in the New Administrative
            Capital is established in accordance with the Cultural Agreement concluded between the Government of the
            Arab Republic of Egypt and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The GIU offers academic
            Bachelor’s, Masters and PhD Degrees based on the German study curricula, academic standards, study rules
            and regulations in a variety of specializations in the fields of Engineering (Automotive Mechatronics,
            Robotics & Automation, Automation & Control, Electrical Power Systems & Manufacturing Engineering),
            Informatics and Computer Science (IT security, Data Science, Software Engineering, & Media Informatics),
            Design (Fashion & Jewelry Design - Industrial Design) in the field of Business Administration
            (International Business, Finance Banking & Accounting, Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management,
            Entrepreneurship for small & medium enterprises, Real Estate Management, and Tourism & Hospitality
            Management), Architecture Engineering ( Interior Architecture & Architectural Design), Pharmaceutical
            Engineering & Technology and Biotechnology. English is the language of teaching; however students will
            study German Language and become acquainted with the German Culture.

                granting accessibility to the world class German Education, promoting to industry and economy in the
                region through integrating practice-oriented education, academia and state-of-art technology, as well as
                enhancing scientific, technical, economic and cultural cooperation between Germany and its partners all
                over the world.
                
                
                The GIU was founded by and cooperates with a consortium of 10 of the biggest Applied Sciences
                universities in Germany including (HTW Berlin – Berlin School of Economics and Law - Technical
                University of Ulm - Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences - Bremen City University of Applied
                Sciences - Hamburg University of Applied Sciences - Technical University of Cologne - Munich University
                of Applied Sciences - Münster University of Applied Sciences - Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences)
